Somatic Movement Education

Somatic movement education is an approach to teaching conscious, present, and joyful movement that starts from the fact that each person is unique in their anatomy and movement.

So, in this approach of teaching movement, a bodily symptom or a limitation can be an invitation to bring a new quality of movement and to give attention and support to that particular part, to different body systems, to some aspect of life. In this work, we gently unfold the bodily process through attention, breath, movement, touch, feeling, sound, and anatomical imagery.

We invite exploration of movement patterns and bodily manifestation, creating opportunities for conscious movement to initiate reorganization processes in consciousness through direct experience, in dialogue with the unconscious, and to help discover the answers, remedies, and supports that are already within the questioner.

Somatic Movement is about meeting oneself in movement, at the depth and intensity for which there is a resource and need in the moment.
