The Sound of Authenticity
A 2-hour Online Somatic and Art Journey into Voice, Sound, and Authenticity through Somatic Art Practice®, Body-Mind Centering®, experimental artmaking, and sharing.

"Between what is said and not meant, and what is meant and not said, most of love is lost."
— Khalil Gibran
Your voice is more than sound — it's the vibration of your truth, rising from the deepest parts of your being.
In this embodied workshop, we'll explore the profound connection between your pelvic floor, throat, and the authentic expression that wants to emerge.
Through somatic practices, breath work, and vocal exploration, you'll discover how your body holds the key to genuine self-expression. We'll work with the anatomical poetry of your jaw-pelvis connection, practice "reverse breathing" that opens space for truth, and create sounds that resonate with your authentic essence.
You'll also explore how your voice carries different power and conviction depending on where in your body you speak from—discovering the distinct qualities of your head voice, heart voice, and womb/gut voice as you share your dreams and truths from each of these centers.
No singing experience is needed — just curiosity about the wisdom your body holds and willingness to let your true voice emerge. Come prepared to breathe, vibrate, sketch, and sound your way into deeper authenticity.
What to Expect:
Somatic voice practices connecting pelvis and throat
Breathing techniques that open authentic expression
Speaking from different body centers (head, heart, womb/gut)
Creative sketching while exploring sound

Why Voice & Embodiment Work Matters?
Reclaiming Your Authentic Voice
From childhood, many of us learn to modulate our voices — to speak softer, take up less space, be "agreeable." This conditioning doesn't just affect how we speak; it literally changes our breathing patterns, jaw tension, and throat constriction. In somatic terms, we develop what Thomas Hanna called "sensory motor amnesia" — we forget how to access our full vocal range and power.
Releasing Stored Tension
Every time we swallow our words, bite our tongue, or "keep the peace," our body stores that unexpressed energy. The jaw, throat, and pelvis аre areas that hold our deepest feelings and creative impulses.
An authentic voice emerges from the whole body, not just the throat. When we reconnect with our pelvic floor, sacrum, and deep breathing patterns to access the sound that emerges from our most essential self.
Developing Confident Speaking
Most confidence training focuses on mental techniques — positive self-talk, power poses, and visualisation. But true confidence comes from embodied presence. When we speak from our whole body—with breath support from the pelvic floor, resonance from the chest, and openness in the throat—our words naturally carry more authority and authenticity.
Confidence is not a mental state but a nervous system state. When our body feels safe and grounded, our voice naturally becomes more powerful. Voice work helps regulate our nervous system, moving us from defensive patterns into confident presence.
Building Deeper Self-Trust & Creativity
Self-trust isn't built through positive thinking—it's built through learning to listen to and honor our body's wisdom. When we practice speaking from different parts of our body, we develop what is called "interoception" — the ability to sense our internal states.
Creativity isn't just mental — it's movement, it's sound, it's the body's natural impulse to express and create. When we free our voice, we free our creative expression in all areas of life.

"The workshops I've so far attended have given me real, deep insights into a part of myself that I had lost touch with, and it was a joy to rediscover.
Nadia provides a space to experiment, explore, and connect with others that feels inclusive, respectful, stress-free, and caring. There is a great balance between the experiential and the theoretical.
There is interesting information offered about anatomy and cultural context that feels relevant and informs the somatic and creative exercises, inspiring personal insights.
The follow-up information after workshops is thoughtful and beautifully presented, and gives plenty of prompts to continue exploring. I have thoroughly enjoyed and recommend the workshops. ”
